Service Match 2 Ball
Anti-Friction Trigger
1.Make sure your firearm is
unloaded and in safe working condition.
2. Remove
bolt, barrel bands and 2 screws to separate barreled action from
stock assembly.
3. Drift 2
pins (3mm/.118”) to separate sear from action then trigger.
4. Replace
pins in new trigger to sear to action.
5. If
necessary; use a Roto-Zip or Dremel to relieve sufficient wood for
clearance of new trigger in stock.
6. WITH
FLOORPLATE ATTACHED TO RECEIVER; Adjust creep screw (#1) to
initially position trigger shoe @ front
of floorplate slot.. Added advantage further rearward.
7. WITH
ACTION COCKED & LOCKED; Adjust front ball screw (#2) to seek
geometric “sweet spot” when FIRES,
then back off ¼ - ½ turn (for safe sear engagement).
8. Adjust 2nd ball screw (#3) to coincide with 1st
ball drop point. Tune for feel before setting over travel.
9. Set over
travel by advancing rear screw (#4) to prevent firing , then back
off ½ turn.
10. At this
point; reassembly firearm complete for use.
11. Perform
function check - Safety ON (NO fire)/OFF (fires). Drop fire test.
12. Cycle firearm
for function and fine tune for desired feel.
13. Enjoy
shooting Mil-Surp rifles with your new HUBER CONCEPTS precision
anti-friction ball trigger.
NOTE:
Early Mausers, Arisaka & Enfield P-1914/17 rifles.
The small vertical rod at front of sear, adjacent to spring
(concentric w/spring -Arisaka) is a Bolt-in-Battery Safety and
engages 6 o’clock bolt notch.. When trigger set close to
release point, rod interferes with bolt through charging cycle. This
feature can be safely defeated by removing or grinding short.
Feature not found on later models.
